    RECOVER ⭐️

    If you like to train hard, want to change your body composition, and have an energetic life.... you’ll need to learn how to recover💪

    How much attention do you put towards recovery?
    -
    SLEEP 💤This is your foundation. If you do anything right this is it! 8 hours is generally what you want to aim for, however some people need more (those training hard) and some people need less. Sleep improves hormone function, metabolic rate, ability to repair your body, and overall quality of life

    NUTRITION and HYDRATION 💧🥘 Improving recovery and performance will mean calories should be at maintenance or at a slight surplus. If you are in a deficit, for recovery purposes you most likely should adjust the volume of your program

    If you are dehydrated at all your body is already functioning below optimum. Water generally should be 1/2 your body weight in ounces, but if you’re active think more like a gallon +

    STRESS MANAGEMENT 🙏 we all have outside stressors but do you have a plan to de-stress from those stressors? Exercising at moderate intensity and above is still a stressor on the body. We want to take away from stress and not add to it.

    RECOVERY TOOLS 🛠 - For example, foam rolling, adjustments, mobility work with a lacrosse ball, cupping, compression boots, etc. Take care of your body- you only get one shot!✌️
