- Película que cuenta con dos grandes actores, y una historia que empieza bien y se va desluciendo, hasta llegar a un final que cumple y no más que eso. Es entretenida de ver pero esta lejos de ser una obra que le saque el jugo al talento de estos gigantes.

- “The Favourite”, starring Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone, is an unusual period dark comedy film about a courtly love triangle and female power play directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. It would not be a Yorgos Lanthimos movie if it was usual, right? If you haven’t watched any of his previous films before, you will find this eccentric and bizarre. However, this movie is softer and lighter than his previous works so it is time to get warmed up and then get used to his works especially if you are into metaphors.
The film takes place in the early 18th century of England. The frail Queen Anne, portrayed by Olivia Colman, rules her kingdom with the help of her extremely close friend - ahem her favourite, Lady Sarah portrayed by Rachel Weisz. Lady Sarah’s cousin Abigail, portrayed by Emma Stone, arrives at the court and becomes a servant. Abigail deceives the Queen with her innocent look by hiding her ambitious and dangerous side. Eventually, she replaces Sarah and becomes the Queen’s new favourite. “The Favourite” with its excellent cast, amazing directing, dazzling costume design and marvellous production design is one of my Oscar nominated favorites. Will it be able to be the ultimate Favourite of the Oscars with its 10 nominations?

L'ho trovato un film meraviglioso, seducente e provocante. Almeno un premio Oscar, tra tutte le candidature, secondo me lo merita.
Emma Stone è stata spaventosamente sensuale e affascinante. Bellissima e bravissima come sempre. Così come tutte le altre Donne nel film.
È una storia che lancia un messaggio molto potente sulla forza femminile ma anche sulle relazioni umane. Rimani con l'amaro in bocca, ma il significato è molto potente. Quanto puoi realmente fidarti delle persone che dicono di amarti?
