    As a fitness lover, @karish_moon had a gap of 7 to 8 years before she found F45. When her cousin referred her to us, she was skeptical about doing any form of group training. But, it didn't take long for her to warm up to it, and eventually fall in love with everything we offered. Barring the initial irregularity in classes, Karishma has been kicking ass, day in and day out, barely missing classes despite long days at work. And you can see this consistency reflect in her performance and on her body. That's a winning stroke for her, and we only wish her more luck for the rest of the Challenge 💪🏻

    A national level swimming champ in his heyday, @varun_wolf was reintroduced to fitness, about 10 years ago. What makes him our winner this week is the amazing lifestyle changes his regularity has brought about. He has signed up with @food.darzee, has "cleaned up" his weekends (😉), and from being absolutely sure he won't make it over a weekend to making it on Saturday. Losing two kilos and other changes in his physique has already changed up this graphic designer's wardrobe, and that's just one of the many things he gets to now enjoy! 👏🏻👏🏻

  • When it comes to fat loss people are quick to jump into a diet which may or may not be sustainable for them. Instead of trying to understand the basic principles that govern fat loss people try to blame macros, their hormones and metabolism.

    Zealots of particular diets are out there promoting why their diet is the best and why it's the only diet that works. Some people are concerned more about HIIT vs Regular Cardio vs Fasted Cardio while completely ignoring their nutrition.

    When it comes to fat loss the primary thing that matters is being in a state of net calorie deficit for some amount of time. This can be done in various ways:
    Eat the same and Move more.
    Eat Less and Move the same.
    Eat Less Move More.

    Yes, eliminating a particular macro which constituted a major part of your diet will cause you to lose fat since that gets you into a state of net calorie deficit. intermittent fasting and other time restrictive eating protocols work because now you have a lower eating window. You will probably eat less if you could only eat between 2pm and 8pm compared to eating between 8am and 10 pm. HIIT and other forms of cardio works because they increase you daily activity. And sometimes just moving more is enough to lose weight overtime.

  • Today was the first day where I had to pursuade myself to do my workout. I just felt off after I finished work and I couldn’t put my finger on why. ⁣⁣

    I then ended up eating about 10 party rings- completely blowing my challenge of only having 2 a day. But I felt like I needed it. I know that might sound strange. I just felt like I needed to eat something without a restriction. And I did, I ate 10 party rings. But... ⁣⁣

    Has the world ended? No! ⁣⁣

    Have I suddenly put on all the weight I’ve already lost? No! ⁣⁣

    Does this mean I can’t get back on the wagon? No! ⁣⁣

    Does it mean I am human? Yes! Definitely. ⁣⁣

    I could have spent the next how ever long angry at myself and annoyed and then gone on to eat more. That’s the old cycle I would have followed. ⁣⁣

    Not today! Today I said okay you ate them now get back on the wagon. So I put my gym clothes on and cracked on with another #hiitworkout ⁣⁣

    It’s amazing what getting back on the wagon and smashing out a workout can do for your mental state. I feel so much better than I did earlier 🔥⁣⁣

    But it’s ok, I’ve been there too. I’ve been that guy who was misled by the advert in a magazine, invested my cash into some magic pills, that promised to make me look like superman in 30 days, but it never happened.

    As an industry worth over $37 billion dollars a year, it’s clear there’s money to be made. And companies will mislead you in order to extract your hard earned cash out of your wallet.
    But don’t worry, I’m here to save the day. Here’s a selection of common supplements and without going into detail on what their intended purpose is, whether I’d recommend spending your money on.
