  • SHAUN ATHON DONE ✅ one freaking hour of transform !!! 700 calories burned and I pushed so damn hard !!! I can’t believe tonight is the second last night of this program before I receive my reward. My sticker for the conquer phase !!! I am so proud and so damn happy 😃 for all I have accomplished over these last 6 weeks .
    I set a goal to have strict nutrition for this entire program and I would have to say that 5/6 weeks I did amazing ! This 6th week was hit or miss and I want to say not enough food. When your exhausted and not prepared you make bad choices . I am certainly not going to beat myself up over it as I know I have achieved my goals and I know this program has changed my body and mind set.   • Not every workout is going to be a kickass, balls to the wall workout and that’s okay. Yesterday I was feeling pretty tired after back to back work meetings, but going to the gym was on my calendar, so I went. I was sitting in the parking lot thinking about how I’d so much rather just turn around, go home and go to bed. While that was extremely tempting, I also thought, well I’m already here, so I’ll just go do a quick 30 min workout and head home so it wasn’t a complete waste of time driving here. The beginning of my workout was definitely less than impressive, but halfway through I started getting re-energized and my workout ended up lasting closer to an hour and ended with a killer superset. .

    These are the times when knowing your body is SO important. I’m not saying every time you’re tired you should push through your workout; sometimes it could be your body telling you that you need a break, but pay attention - get to know your body and know whether you should push through that workout or take a rest day.

    I am making this post to prove a point. Picture on the left is after a full day of eating and shit lighting. Picture on the right is in the morning with good lighting. Everyone is guilty of posting their “best” picture when it probably took 50 tries to get that picture. I’m guilty of it and if you say you aren’t, then you’re probably lying to yourself.

    My point is that you can’t get down on yourself when a picture doesn’t turn out how you hoped, or you think your abs or muscles aren’t defined enough or whatever it may be. Our bodies fluctuate so much throughout the day as we eat, drink fluids, and exercise.

    Your picture didn’t turn out well? Post it anyways and here’s why. ⬇️

    There is probably someone out there who looks up to you, that wants to be like you. What if they have a bad day? What if they are having a day where they feel bad in their own skin? They will see your “perfect” picture and think “Oh, I’m never going to be that perfect, they look good in every single picture.”

    It is important to show the real side of things. Show them that you aren’t always at your best, because quite frankly no one is at their best 100% of the time. Everyone has rough days, everyone has days where they don’t feel or look as lean as they would like. Be real with those people.

    I hope you were able to take something away from this. I have struggled far to long with the image I hold myself to. All I can do is wake up everyday and be the best damn version of myself that I can be. Don’t get lost in the social media uncertainty. Stay true to yourself.

  • I was unsure what I wanted to train today as I have a sore right shoulder, so I decided to do some light cardio and arms.
    Below is the workout I did, I mostly always keep my rep rang high and especially if I’m not feeling 100%, like with my shoulder today, I keep the weight lower then normal and focus on technique and squeezing the muscle every rep!
    Cardio and arms
    Start with a quick walk on an incline for 20 minutes.
    Tricep extension on cables 3x15 superset with 3x15 over head extension.
    Bicep curls on cables 3x15.
    Dumbbell bicep curls 3x30 superset with scull crushes (2 variations. 3x12 pushing the weight back and up, and 3x12 regular scull crushes)
    This was about a 45 minute session all up, with minimal rest in between sets. 😊😊😊
