One of the things I like about using supersets in a workout is that I can select exercises that compliment each other to get more bang for the buck. If the goal is fat loss I can choose exercises that cause deeper fatigue, or create more calorie burn, or like in this case (fat loss w/muscle gain), I can choose exercises that make the target muscles work much harder, in ways that allow me to work multiple angles. I’ll explain in this video. *

How many days a week do you take a rest day?
I know..the dreadful rest day. The day we actually sit on the couch instead of making gains.
BUT did you know, not taking enough time for your body to recover could lead to overtraining.
Overtraining occurs when the body exceeds the ability to recover from strenuous exercise.
This can lead to a -decrease in performance -feeling sluggish
-unmotivated to train
-changes in sleep habits
-increase risk of injury
I wanted to touch on this subject, because I feel like we get lost in the thought that “if I don’t train, I will lose everything.” False. It takes about 3 weeks to lose 5-10% of your strength.
Taking a day off will not hurt you! It only helps you! If you’ve been going weeks without a rest day, please consider it! Especially if you’ve been feeling any of the symptoms... It’s always my goal to help the people around me. Wherever and whenever. I hope this helps whoever needs it!
