  • They did not cross a word and yet in that silence fit a manual ...,
the boy watched with admiration as the man wove his fishing net . Each stitch was very precise and the knots were knitted at equidistance from each other, Every single movement had a purpose and although it seemed that they were repetitive, the boy already sensed that in each of them there was a lesson to be learned.
Feeling blessed for being in that moment...

  • 💕 Happy Valentines Day Instagram Fam 💕
I am currently taking Anatomy this semester which includes a lecture and lab, where we dissect the cadaver with our lab group! Today we had the opportunity to dissect the human heart in lab to supplement our cardio lecture. Pretty surprised today's agenda landed perfectly on Valentine's day 🤗 Although, coincidence I think not. Read below for a little bit of what we did today: In our last lab, we first removed the lungs by freeing the pulmonary ligaments and pleural adhesions, and cutting the root of the lung. Today we used blunt dissection and a scalpel to sever the inferior vena cava, superior vena cava, pulmonary trunk and aorta 1 cm from the base of the heart. This allowed us to remove the heart from the thorax. Using scissor spreading technique, we were able to identify vessels of the heart, left and right atrioventricular grooves and anterior and posterior interventricular sulci. Next we used a scissor and scalpel to cut through the pulmonary trunk and into the right ventricle so we could identify papillary muscles, chordae tendinae, interventricular septum, and the moderator band 👯‍♀️

  • At the #linkinbio , check out an insightful semester-end wrap up from the OEs on our very first Spain & Morocco program this past Fall. We're excited to hear from the 2nd cohort of this program in the coming months!

  • The excitement has been building this week among our second year students as they started to prepare for their Israel spring break trip (included in their tuition!), which will be lead once again by Stan Maughan, our current guest speaker.

It’s been great to welcome Stan back this week to teach through both Ezekiel and the study of Eschatology with both our first and second year students.

  • There were some of the most stunning beaches we had ever seen between Port Stephens and Port Macquarie. Stopping for lunch (and a wiggle) at Elizabeth Beach in Booti Booti National Park was a particular highlight #bootilicious
