  • The Making of Gone With The Wind:
George Reeves played the role of Stuart Tarleton in the movie (However he is incorrectly listed as playing Brent Tarleton). Going by the name of George Bessolo, he was signed to Warner Bros. not long after being cast in the role. During production he changed his surname from Bessolo to Reeves. Reeves is probably best known for portraying Superman in the television series The Adventures of Superman from 1952 to 1958. Reeves died on June 16 1959 aged 45 allegedly of suicide however many in Hollywood suspected, and it is still thought that Eddie Mannix, MGM’s ‘fixer’ was involved whose wife Reeves had been having an affair with.

  • In 1948, Noel Neill played Lois Lane in a 15-chapter serial in which Kirk Alyn potrayed Clark Kent. In 1950, the sequel (Atom Man vs. Superman) was released

From 1953 to 1958, she potrayed Lois Lane in 78 episodes of Adventures of Superman with George Reeves portraying Clark Kent. George & Noel both appeared in the 1954 short Stamp Day for Superman

In 1978, she appeared (uncredited) as Ella Lane (Lois Lane's mother) in Richard Donner's 1978 film Superman: The Movie. She is seen when teenage Clark Kent (Jeff East) is running and keeping up with the train. The young girl who sees him is Lois Lane. Noel is the woman (Ella Lane) sitting next to her. Kirk Alyn (1948 Superman) sat across from her as Lois' father

Noel featured in the 1988 TV Movie documentary Superman: 50th Anniversary

In 1991 she appeared in the TV series Superboy as a character named Alexis alongside her former cast-mate Jack Larson who played Jimmy Olsen on Adventures Of Superman

In 2006 she played Gertrude Vanderworth in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns. Gertrude is the rich widow Lex Luthor married to obtain her fortune

On May 14, 1994, Noel went to the Dixie Trek convention in Atlanta, Georgia, with Christopher Reeve. She took questions from fans and posed for pictures with Christopher. On June 15, 2010, the southern Illinois city of Metropolis, Illinois (the city that calls itself the "official home of Superman") unveiled a statue of Lois Lane. The statue is modeled after Noel. She stated that she was honored to be memorialized.

  • In all my years on this planet I have, especially as an empath, related to a lot of characters and sympathized with them. Above all others in the world of comics, however, Superman has always been my absolute favorite. Held in higher regard than any other character Marvel, DC, or anywhere else. Ever since I can remember and with each and every new appearance he makes in movies, games, TV, comics, and other media I am constantly inspired and motivated. I have always been way more compelled and felt myself way more in tune with his character and with his entire creed and doctrine as a hero. Seeing him and all his goals and aspirations and how he deals with everything with a level head and a clear focus but still has the power and strength to push through it all is super grounding. While also having his own darknesses and struggles that can be related to as a every day man in an every day struggle. Especially with all the different variations and versions and even other multiverse versions of the character he has always shined through as just a genuine and content character. Even when seen as a deity or messiah figure. He is still just the definition of what DC stands for especially as an ideology, thus being gods trying to be human. He's just someone who knows he is of godlike power but is only trying to live as a normal human being. That to me is just incredible every time I can see the character. Every time I'm down or feeling overwhelmed in this life a character like Superman always manages to give me the courage, strength, and hope to keep pushing on and pushing forward. "You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders." - Jor-El, Man of Steel (2013)
