  • CLEAN HOUSE, SOUND MIND. Anyone? If I’m feeling a bit stressed, overwhelmed, or there is a lot on my mind...tidying up tends to do the trick. Everyone’s just starting to Marie Kondo everything...I’ve been doing it for 5 years! (LOL) Vacuuming is my favourite thing ever - the SATISFACTION. 😍😂 Anyone else? #joybird #gfdmedia

  • Hi all you wonderful mama’s. 👋🏼 I want to tell you my story and why this kind of lifestyle is so important to me. I was 7 months pregnant and dealing with high blood pressure. At 37 weeks I was induced and was given steroid injections to help Kaleb mature his lungs faster. .
    .
Happy healthy delivery. Two weeks roll past and my daughter passes on her pneumonia to him as RSV. He was ambulanced and placed on life support for a week. I thought I had done everything right. I felt like I had failed him as a parent. As a mom. I was suppose to protect him. Being there and seeing your child on a vent to breathe, sedated and on so many different drugs is not what I wanted for him. He was their first case of RSV for the season and I remember the doctor saying his lungs were not ready to come earthside. I partially believe this was a way of saying he had a toxic buildup. 😭 .
    .
I prayed and begged and bargained with God that entire time we where there. And when I seen eagles flying around one day while sitting in the cafeteria I knew he had answered my prayers. Kaleb is a very strong willed boy. He means so much to me. .
    .
Having a safe environment in the home for him and my daughter means the world for me. Being able to give them toxic free products to use means even more. I can never go back to how we cleaned the house or used products and never looked into what was actually in the products and how it affects your body. Living a chemical free life is SO, SO important. .
    .
I didn’t receive my oils until right before I had Kaleb and then religiously used them after he was home. I can say we are completely different people now. We feel healthier, our home is cleaner. You are all gatekeepers of your homes & you choose what comes through those doors. Please, if you do decide to start living a natural lifestyle, allow me to help guide you in the best decision you’ve made for you and your family.

  • Hi I’m Courtney! 👋🏻 I’m a former Sephora addict turned clean beauty advocate. I started all of this because I was totally unaware of toxins in our products + completely overwhelmed by that thought of transitioning over to a non-toxic lifestyle. My hope is to educate + inspire you to start your own non-toxic journey & to show you how simple and amazing it can be! 🖤I’m so happy you’re here!

    🌿⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Having some lovely plants around the house will instantly lighten up the mood (even though admittedly most of the time I’m a plant killer😅) Every time I pass by and spot the splash of green, I will always get so cheered up no matter how frustrated I was just a second ago. Does anyone have similar experience?😌⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Just bought these snazzy glass straws online. Went with glass because the metal ones make my teeth feel weird(yes, I’m that person). It’s interesting how we can go through life accepting the status quo until we decide to do the work to challenge the world around us. Plastic straws were always normal to me until recently when I really started informing myself about the amount of plastic that’s clogging up bodies of water all over the world. I read an article that posited the idea that we should start holding the manufactures more accountable for their packaging and I’d never even thought of it that way, probably because I grew up in the “give a hoot don’t pollute” generation, which put the responsibility squarely on the consumer’s shoulders(wonder how much money manufacturers contributed to that messaging campaign). But I think we’re all responsible in the end so I’m consciously trying to change one thing at a time(as I write this I’m thinking about all the plastic organizers I bought this weekend 🤦‍♀️) Thought about throwing my plastic straws away instead of using them and figured that’s wasteful. So instead I opted to be both environmentally and fiscally responsible at the same damn time! I’m so smart 😏

  • We ditched the melatonin & call in the magic combo for sleep now: Lavender (calming + relaxing) + Cedarwood (can help release sleep hormones.) Diffuse it, sprinkle it on your bed sheets, use it in a roller or spritz it around your room. ✨🌝🌿 We sleep better, relax faster and wake up more rested.
Fun fact: Cedarwood is also great for hair growth 🌱

  • When we ordered our starter kit way back in 2014 this oil right here was a game changer. 🌿 I had a little one who was growing teeth + fighting sleep and lots of emotions as a fulltime working + commuiring mama. Peace & Calming was (and still is) our unicorn oil. For all the peaceful zen vibes. ✌🏻 It helps support + calm the central nervous system and doubles as gentle + effective respiratory support as well! Shared a quick chest rub DIY on stories if you’re interested!

  • HOW TO GET PINKER LEAVES!

One of the hottest plants of 2018 was the Philodendron Pink Princess! And by looking at a few photos of them - you can definitely see why. Their hot pink variegation gives them such striking foliage but if your plant doesn't have much pink then don't worry!

There are a few things you can do to promote the chances of your plant chucking out some hot pink leaves: - Brighter light! Keep them away from direct sunlight but give them the brightest indirect light you can
    - Chop and prop: If you have a section of your PPP that is producing pinker leaves, chop and propagate just that section. As it grows roots and establishes, there is a higher chance that your new more pink plant will continue to produce pinker leaves.
    - Well draining soil, a good watering system and being kept in good conditions all promote a healthier plant which in turn increases the chances of pinker leaves.
