I don't speak French and had to search what she was talking about. I found it on the side - Marco Polo Blue! .
I had a good laugh! When I was little my imagery friend was Marco Polo. .
So I'm having my blue fruity tasting tea in my Xenobia Bailey tea cup. .
Who was your I'm imagery friend? .

  • Nari Ward, “Mare,” “Nadir,” and “Escape Velocity Blue” from the “Breathing Circles” series, 2018
Oak, copper sheeting, copper nails, darkening patina

Incorporating oxidized and polished copper, Nari Ward's “Breathing Circles” series features the Kongo cosmogram, an African spiritual symbol composed of a cross and diamond. This symbol, encountered by the artist as a pattern of holes on the floor of an African Baptist Church in Savannah, GA, served as a symbol of the Underground Railroad, and allowed escaping slaves to breathe while hiding under the floor of the church.
