  • CNY Day 13: Cooked a Big Pot of: 1) Japanese Buta Kakuni/Braised Pork Belly🐷 & Hard Boiled Eggs🥚 in a Sweet Dashi Broth flavoured by Soy Sauce, Sake, Mirin & a bit of Sugar. I knew from the very beginning that this Dish was going to be a Hit at the Dinner Table, the Pork Belly🐖 was so Soft & Gelatinous as it had been slowly braised in the Stock for 3 1/2 hours. Words cannot describe how Inexplicably Delicious it is, it's Tender, Fatty, Juicy & packed full of Umami. 👍This Dish is definitely not for the Health Conscious! Accompanied it with a 2) Nyonya Fish Maw Soup/Nyonya Hee Peow Soup.🥘 This Soup is often considered to be a 'Ceremonial' Soup & is often consumed during special occasions like the Lunar New Year as it contains Luxurious Ingredients like Fish Maw,🐟 Handmade Springy Shrimp Balls 🍤& even sometimes Abalone.   • Had easy Barrumundi chowder casserole from @kuhlbarra earlier !! Thick, creamy and luscious chowder loaded w lotsa premium barramundi fish and vegetables !! ⁣⁣
    Made some croutons to go along too which complements the chowder perfectly !⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣
    The chowder is ready to eat and all you gotta do is to reheat it and I added a touch of shredded parsley too.
    ⁣⁣
    And here's the super easy #recipe for the croutons :⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣
    1 slice of bread, diced⁣⁣
    45g butter, melted⁣⁣
    Pinch of salt⁣⁣
    ⁣⁣
    Method:⁣⁣
    1) Melt the butter and coat the bread evenly with it. ⁣⁣
    2) Add pinch of salt to bread and mix well.⁣⁣
    3) Toast on medium heat in a toaster for approx 10 mins or when bread has turned golden brown. Or 160 degrees C in an oven for approx. 12-15mins till golden brown.⁣⁣
    4) Serve it together w the chowder and enjoy !!

    닭500g, 우유 200ml, 튀김가루 4큰술
    .
    **양념장
    양파40g, 간장 50ml, 콜라 125ml, 설탕40ml, 참기름1큰술, 다진마늘 1큰술,
    고춧가루 1작은술, 후추약간, 올리고당 15ml

    ▶만드는법
    1. 닭은 소금 후추로 밑간을 하고 우유에 30분 재워두세요
    (잡내,비린내 제거의 효과도 있음)
    .
    2. 우유를 반정도 따라내고 튀김가루를 넣어 튀김옷 입을정도로 반죽하셔요
    .
    3. 180도 기름에서 노릇하게 초벌 튀김후, 다시 튀겨내주세요 .
    4. 양념장을 팬에 넣고 졸이듯 끓여내주세요
    .
    5. 졸여진 양념장에 튀긴닭을 넣고 골고루 양념을 묻히며 살짝 끓여주세요
