- We'd wanted to try this place for a while - I'm half Spanish so eaten my fair share of tapas. Some of the food was nice (croquettes (although tiny for £8.50), the pimientos de padron and the halloumi. Some wasn't great (patatas bravas, the tiny serving of pulpo for £10.50) and some very overpriced (that meat board? £9.50. Bread board - £4.50). We were ignored for ages when we first got there - we were just about to walk out when a lovely waitress salvaged the situation. Wine well priced. Would I go back? Nope - our meal cost £120 and it didn't amount to much - but I ticked it off the list.

- Yesterday I made some blueberry pancakes with my niece and nephew and they were so good! I mean, next time I wouldn’t use frozen blueberries, because where they were so cold they didn’t let the batter next to them cook in time 😂 so I just had to overcook a few, but my niece and nephew didn’t mind. Shout out to 6 year old Amelia for being my syrup drizzler and 4 year old Bertie for being chief blueberry taster. Off to work today which is a shame because it’s SUCH a lovely day. But also, is anyone getting Eco-Anxiety about HOW nice a day it is? Like isn’t it supposed to be February? Let all say a prayer to the global warming gods today 🙏🏼

Thank you for all the love and wishes via my stories. My family refuses to wish me on the nikkah anniversary which we celebrate as the ‘real’ one instead of the rukhsati one and to which they justify through emotions everytime ‘humaray ghar say toh tum tab he gai ho na’ 🙄🤦🏻♀️
