    The answer is that it depends on you! Lifting weights affects everyone differently and depends on a number of factors like your genetics, diet and training history.

    What lifting weights will do is help you build muscle, and we can’t tell you how much that might be but we do know that it won’t happen overnight - in fact, you have to work pretty hard to gain a significant amount of muscle.

    Lifting weights can help you get leaner, increase the calories you burn, improve the quality of your sleep and combat osteoporosis.

    We all lift weights in our training, even though we look different. I’m short and compact whereas Candice and Kasey are taller and carry their muscle differently. People might say I’m “too bulky” because I am muscular but personally, I like the way I look and would happily put on more muscle because I enjoy the strength it gives me 😊

    When it comes to being “too bulky”, that is something only you can determine as your idea of bulky might be different from the person next to you. .

    You can decide what your personal preference is, and then focus on maintaining it when you get there.

    I promise, you won’t just wake up one morning and be like “Damn why did I lift those weights? I got too bulky!”.
