  • Rather than “manning up,” or pushing thru, seek relief + support, and prevent cycles of back pain flares. Back it up with active rest + recovery.

  • It's alright. There there… Everything is just fine.
Things are working out in my favor.
    Pure positive energy follows me.
    Life is joyous.
Everything is alright. I am doing just fine.
I am in the flow of the universe.
    I am happy.
    I am living my purpose.
    I am well put together.
I am alright where I am.
Yes… there is drama. It's unavoidable. But that drama reminds me that there is a better way… a better life in store for me. So I will love every step of this journey and just… Chill. Out. #postivevibesonly

  • Hi, my name is Jane, and I’ve been a pretty big homebody lately. At least to my standards. I typically have a strong desire to fill every waking moment with something “productive, worth my time, or deliberate.” These are words I often find myself using when I don’t feel like I’ve done enough. Because that’s pretty much every day.
Lately, I’ve been practicing saying no. And I’m sorry if that’s affecting our relationship. It’s just that, for a brain like mine, it’s so incredibly crucial to keep it simple. I have a hard enough time as it is just making time and space for the “should do’s.” Sometimes it feels impossible to make time for the “want to’s.” You might find this strange coming from a person who just went to Costa Rica, who regularly spends time with friends, and who technically only works 30 hours a week. But time management is not my strong suit.
People like me need at least 25-50% more time to accomplish anything at all. Because during that 25-50% more time, I’m just trying to organize the steps to get from point A to D and can barely keep track of what I’m doing in the meantime. Even if I write it down, even if I have a friend there with me to keep me on task. Sometimes life with inattentive ADD feels like 1 step forward and 3 steps back, through alligator infested mud bogs going uphill both ways.
I’m not trying to make excuses. I’m just trying to be seen. And heard. And validate those who might feel the same. And just have a written account of what I’m going through. All at the same time. Because that’s I-ADD in its raw form. Everything, all at once. .
So sometimes, I need to make myself time to do the complete opposite: nothing at all in particular.
