  • This was how I spent my 26th birthday.
Getting lost at the airport with no idea where to go.
Getting dropped off at unknown places without any information about what to do.
Getting attacked by mosquitoes, spiders, and crazy toucans.
Getting surprisingly woken up at 4am to go on a 8 hour boat ride up a river through rapids.
Pushing the boat through rapids where I almost got pulled back into the motor but Blake (middle of photo) grabbed me in time.
Walking through the jungle only pair of shorts rip and I manage to lost my shirt somehow.
Having rain on us the entire time.
And getting to see the worlds high waterfall with the best company.
I heard someone once say, it’s not an adventure until something goes wrong. No truer words have been spoke here.

  • Kunanti dirimu Lama sekali.
Kini Akhirnya kau datang Membawa berjuta rasa senang.

Tak sabar rasanya menahan segala beban rindu.
Dan hal apa lagi yang lebih membahagiakan,
    kecuali saat kudengar detak jantungmu.
    Kunantikan kehadiranmu membawa cahaya bahagia

    Aku merasa Inilah keajaiban.
    Aku akan melahirkanmu
    Buah hati yang lama kurindu

Kan kusambut dengan segenap senyuman Kupeluk dengan seluruh kehangatan Kubuai dengan penuh kemesraan.
Betapa bahagianya hati ini Kehadiranmu selalu kunanti. ----------------------------------------------

  • So, almost 4 weeks ago we arrived in New Zealand. We’ve been enjoying the country to the fullest and loved being off the grid for most of the time. But it’s time to share some photos so here we go!
We picked up our campervan just south of Auckland and spent the night at one of our favorite spots so far, along this black sand beach with only two other vans. The sunset was amazing and we really had to pinch ourselves that this was really happening. 🥰

.THIS PICTURE KEEPS REMINDING ME HOW LESS PREPARED (& OFCOURSE OVERCONFIDENT) I WAS FOR KUARI PASS TREK .
    .
.With 2 of my friends, I booked a trek to Kuari Pass and Pangarchula peak with Bikat Adventures. Overall we liked their itinerary and the way they combined Kuari pass with Pangarchula peak. It was like cherry on ice-cream. No matter how beautiful that cherry was looking I couldn't taste it😞( I opted not to go for Pangarchula and returned from Kuari pass. Will tell that story next time.) .
.Making time out of my (not so) busy life I booked all travel & stay arrangements and went for shopping necessary items.( God bless Decathlon and D-Mart 😁) . I was happy thinking that that would be enough and I was ready for the trek. But while planning all those things I forgot that I was going for a Winter Trek. And the result was - trek didn't end so well for me.
    .
.While returning from Kuari pass our guide was Mr. Puran Rawat, a local resident of Auli. Discussing with him during descend I came to know that I missed to see a lot of wonderful locations , didn't even notice the peaks ( including the mighty NandaDevi-highest peak in the India ) I could have seen during this trek. I forgot to capture many of those wonderful memories I could have cherished for entire life.
    .
.I Told Puran Da all about that and started cursing myself for not being attentive. Seeing me in misery he pointed out towards Dunagiri peak which I had already seen while ascending. So it didn't amaze me. But what Puran Da added after that was aweinspiring. That is the same mountain mentioned in the great epic The Ramayana. While fetching Sanjeevani herb for Lord Laxman ji , Lord Hanuman ji actually took away the green mountain top of Dronagiri village (situated at base of Dunagiri mountain) and not a part of the peak.
    .
.I was overwhelmed by the sheer knowledge of Puran Da. I wish I will go for more treks in Garhwal Himalayan ranges with him in the near future.
    .
.PS- moral of the story is Research thoroughly about the place you are traveling to, nearby places you can visit, locations you can see and be keen observant OR get a local guide like Puran Da..😉😄
